Staff is awesome. On check in they let us change to a first floor room which was so helpful as stairs are tough for me. On cleaning my room they found my tablet that I accidentally left behind and they called and will mail it to me. Room comfortable and very clean. All in all a great stay in the home of Amelia Earheart..

They guarantee lowest price hut dont know their own policy that is mentioned. They would adopt to any tactics to avoid price matching according to their policy

Difficulty obtaining receipts

Cannot see my past stay receipts. Dates, locations when I click on view the page disappears. This has been an on going issue.

Great stay and amazing staff

I was so tired I just couldn’t drive anymore. I went to the comfort inn and I immediately left after I got my money back. The rooms were nasty, and the girl that checked me I was high or drunk or something was wrong with her. She was rude and unprofessional. Her friend was hanging around drinking beer out of a cup. The smell was awful. She looked nasty as well. As did her husband or boyfriend. They were very loud and and didn’t seem to care the lady was trying to check me in which it seemed to be interrupting their party time. I left and gps to clarion. Much better! Ms Melissa was a great person and she needs a raise. She greeted me cheerfully, explained everything I needed to know. She placed me on a quiet floor so I could get some rest, offered to help me with my luggage, I took a hot shower and I was out like a light. Breakfast was great. Sausage,eggs,biscuits,oatmeal,waffles, cereal, juice, milk,and coffee. Also tangerines and apples were available as well. I’d give them a 10 instead of 5 if I could. Ms. Tonya was a gem at check out. I really enjoyed my stay here. I will be back. Clarion,you won me over. I travel a lot. I will be staying here from now on. Great job Ms. Melissa and Ms. Tonya. Also kudos to the housekeeping staff for taking pride in your job, because of your dedicated and hard work, I got a great nights sleep on clean sheets, and a hot shower with clean linen. Thank you clarion for making my stay a great stay!!!!!

Choice privileges is a scam game

I was trying to make a reservation to have a mom and daughter night out. It said I could use points + cash amount. Took my money from my account and then said the reservation wasn’t successful but refused to refund my money. Customer service people have such thick accents you can’t understand and are of no help. They say, “we have no record of a purchase” My bank account says otherwise! “Give it 7 days to see if it corrects” WHY? Yall took it out instantly but bc you want to pad your bank account with interest, I don’t get my mother daughter night out? I’ve been a member for a long time and never had an issue, but now I think I’ll choose a different brand of hotels.

Very unhappy

Choice is something else they never help you out instead they take your money and say it’s not refundable!! I always have problems with customer service!! The representatives all are very rude and are not helpful at alllllll😡😡😡😡

This is a very good hotel very friendly people helpful I’ve been here for a few months while looking for apartment and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, the owner is the most patient person and always see good in people but I love this place I will recommend if u want a clean stay stop here in Charlotte NC 5820 Monroe rd

I am just so fond of this app extremely easy to use no glitch or errors. It builds points and you get to use them towards your stay. I highly recommend them over those other guys if you know what I mean…Expedia and hotels Watever it is hahah in my eyes #1 highly recommended won’t disappoint

Gotta fight for your points

I stayed for a couple months in a hotel in Pa, got points for the first week, and then never got anymore, they can’t figure out which days I paid cash, and which days I paid through a third party app, just ridiculous, then they tried to sell me a time share for 250 points that I never received, worthless.

The smell of chemicals is so strong I’m coughing and my eyes are watering I need all my money back Now Please do not stay here you will get sick

Room selection

When going to choose a room it will not let you select one unless it is a suite. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks now.

Terrible institution

The gift card redemption program does not work. The customer service is awful and not helpful. This is not a good app.

Useless

Downloaded this app so I could check in early to my hotel because I knew they would be busy that day. They told me I would be notified when my room is ready, so I stroll into my. Hotel and had a seat in the lobby and waited to be notified. But I did not know if the front desk was adding people as they checked in and it did not matter that I checked in the day before. Ended up, waiting several hours for a room to open.. So why bother?

Frustrating!!! My login n password work online not in app

How lame is this? I can login through chrome but not using the app. There is something wrong with the app! So many difficulties trying to login is why I’ve just given up and started using Booking.com all the time

App not available for IOS 16

Other app developers are able to make their apps backward compatible. Why can’t you?

TERRIBLE APP. Does not work on iPads.

Multiple attempts at trying to get this app installed. Hasn’t worked in over a year. Also found out that Choice has NO CONTROL OR INPUT on any hotel they book. Stay away folks.

Choice needs to hold your people accountable!

The last hotel I booked through the app (Econolodge on Dale Mabry, Tampa, Florida) looked nothing like the pictures. The hotel was dirty, and somebody left clothes in the room we were in. They said they had free breakfast, but there was no breakfast! That was the main reason we booked (This is false advertisement.) Jacked-up prices went from game day to 149! We had a late checkout, but it was so noisy. We could not sleep. Housekeepers were yelling from building to building having conversations. Every time you move the springs in the bed refrigerator making noise all night. I can go on and on.

Won't let me create online account

Have yet to stay, but the app is a problem. I keep trying to create my online account in the app but it's giving me an "unexpected error". If I try to create a new account, it tells me I already have an account.

The worst !!!!

I spoke with Kalex & She is the most rudest person !!!!! she didn’t solve my problem they keep giving me the run around I been calling since Wednesday to resolve the problem but I was being told that different things everytime ! This is the most worst company I ever dealt with

Steals money

The app stole $102 from us without giving us the reservation. Customer supports answer was “yeah sometimes it does that. We’ll send your money back in a week and you can sleep in your car tonight.”

5 Star Staff ,Breakfast & Rooms

My first review there was a miscommunication and it was addressed quickly and I was informed of the correct times for the 5 Star breakfast buffet and everything was fresh and hot. Thank you to the Management and staff for making the stay feel Like home🙏🏾

Awful customer service

I am a Diamond level member. I will no longer be staying at Choice Hotels strictly because of the level of customer “service” provided. They do not care and will refuse to escalate. They will charge you for errors that their own personnel made and then refuse to resolve the issue - effectively stealing from their members and customers. Do not give them your time or money.

App

Disappointed. Can’t see how many points are awarded each transaction. There’s are 2 separate accounts. One with Wellsfargo the other with choice hotel. Customer service not that great. I will delete this account.

Ripped off

I showed up a day early and of course the hotel is going to play stupid. Ended up costing an extra 340$ for one night. Scam, thanks for taking all the spending money I had for my girls before I got paid. Did a lot of damage. Thanks

Horrible service

I had stayed at a hotel for an extended stay while my mother was ill and eventually passed away the hotel manager kicked us out for smoking even after an officer came and said it was definitely not our room I called choice to complain and they said all they could do was help with another reservation they couldn’t do anything about the service why have the app

Errors resetting passwords

Trying to reset password or send email for username. Constant “unexpected error occurred” so I have no choice but to waste time calling the 800 number to resolve this.

Links load blank pages

Dev team can’t get the basics down, making this app unreliable and pretty much useless. Example: I’m trying to apply for their Mastercard to earn points. I click “learn more” and a blank page loads. Huh? Killed the app process, reopened, same deal. Yesterday it was a “server error” when trying to update my password. I rely on well developed apps to get through my day. This adds roadblocks and makes my life harder. Please test your app, take responsibility, and fix the very basics.

Buggy and don’t honor promotions

After several years I am giving up. Apart from the annoying bugs they never honor the promotions they push

Very Dishonest

After 10 years of being a loyal and exclusive customer to choice motels. I had someone hack into my choice rewards account and fraudulently use 8,000 of my points. After contacting choice they said I must have given my info to someone and they will not refund my points, the man was very rude and snotty to me. They lost my business and the business of my company fleet for one free room. After 10 years I deleted my account and removed the app from my phone. And my company is following suit. Just shameful

Diamond member

I have been a choice member for over 5 years and always felt like they treat there members right. Well today my son decided he wanted to buy me so points, he did . My points never showed up but the money was taking out his account. I call and was told the reason why my points never showed up on my account is because the points was not bought with my card instead my son card.I’m very disappointed in choice and this will be my last time spending any money with them.Choice if this is how you treat your diamond member I no longer want to be a member. I think I will try Wyndham.

Zero points given

Booked room for 3 months 4 nights a week and received zero points. It’s a scam. Prove me wrong choice 🤷‍♂️

Thieves

These people are thieves. The check in date will change to the next month automatically. Then they won’t refund or change the date. They steal the money.

Great app save a lot of money

This thing is fantastic. You even get a free night about every week that you stay.

Scam hotel

The Owner, tells you upfront he will charge an extra $100 for a deposit, but never returns the fee $100 fee. The guy/owner is the front deak agent and scammer at the same time. Don't stay here.

Don’t it for the visa gift card

I redeemed points months ago and never received my gift card or my points back. Going on a year and have yet to receive anything.

Gets the job done

The app is good. About average for a hotel app. It’s not as advanced as the Marriott or Hyatt ones, but that’s ok. My suggestions for improvement are to: 1. Add a dark mode. 2. Add the ability to modify the text / font size. I find it a little small and on the white background, I have to struggle.

Does not save or recognize saved info

The app is decent in terms of finding availability & booking, but requires me to change my password or username every single time I log on because it somehow refuses to save my info or recognize my account in their registry. Beyond irritating when trying to plan things and you’re constantly having to take time to change passwords each friggin time. Not worth it, I can google hotels easier and get the same info + more options. Such a basic thing and yet the app never recognizes it’s own customers registration.

APP USERS BEWARE: NO TECH SUPPORT

After calling multiple times to Customer Support and speaking with two supervisors, I have learned that there is NO TECH SUPPORT for customers and other than the usual: delete the app and reload, Customer Support has no suggestions and they have no one to contact either! I have a canceled reservation, with an email from the hotel, that continues to appear on the app as an active reservation. Customer Support said I may or may not get charged for the room next year, and I can protest the charge, if that happens! Why should the CUSTOMER have to do anything if the app is flawed? Be careful if you use the app to make reservations!!!

For Memorial Day weekend 2024, at Quality Inn Yemassee SC, I would never come here again. The room was filthy unsanitary. I shower had mold in it. I requested to have the bathroom cleaned the old man came put his hand into the toilet and scrub with no soap. The old lady took a broom started sweeping, it needed vacuuming. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel.

Customer service

After having a terrible experience at one of my stays , then on the phone I just want to make sure after talking to numerous representatives and being hung up on or disconnect over 7 times and spending over 2 and a half hours on the phone, the final representative that I spoke with ,Lexi, was absolutely wonderful. She not only allowed me to speak and explain the issue ,instead of reading off the standard responses, was considerate and concerned about what was going on. She gets 5 stars from me!!! She helped get my issue resolved as well as made sure I didn’t have any further issues in making my reservation. She even took the time to call the hotel for me! After multiple reps with terrible service, I want to make sure that the one great one I spoke with gets the recognition deserved! Lexi thank you again for all your help tonight. Just seeming like you cared about the situation meant a ton! Representatives like you are the reason I continue to use choice!!the others should pay attention to how you do your job !!!
